What has four lights, 200 questions and more doughnuts than you can eat?
The answer for all English-speakers who can spin a dreidle (top) between Haifa and Karmiel is the first ESRA Chanucah Supper Quiz to be held in Karmiel, and imported for your holiday entertainment directly from Manchester, U.K.
This event has been devised by a recent oleh and will be held on Motze’i Shabbat Chanucah (Saturday evening 04 December) at the Spitzer Community Centre, Kehillat Hakerem, Karmiel. There will be prizes for the winners.
Entrance fee is 20 NIS and net proceeds from the event will benefit both ESRA charities and the synagogue.
I’ll post regular updates about this major charity bash until the chag (festival) and am offering readers vital clues about how to answer tough questions.
Here’s the first: “latkes and doughnuts”. (I warned you it won’t be easy!). What’s more, the quiz master will kill me for letting the Chanucah cat out of the cupboard but he can’t see me writing!
